So it’s ‘New Release Tuesday’ and I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of this little game called Assassin’s Creed. Heck, I even went out on a limb and pre-ordered it 4 months in advance after seeing some of demo footage floating around the inter-web. So to make a long story short…the game is released and accepted with rave reviews from all - the problem is that my local game place won’t receive their shipment until this Thursday.

Panic ensues as the teenage clerk tells me “You shouldn’t believe everything you read online.” Right there and then I go through the 5 classic stages of loss;

1. Anger
    ”#!*%#@*&”
2. Denial
   But it has to be in…maybe I’ll try the superstore just down the street.
3. Bargaining
   me: “You gotta have it in - I mean, I’ve been waiting over 4 months now.”
   game store clerk: “Sorry sir, I already told you we’re not getting it in till Thursday.”
4. Depression
   Think Captain Kirk circa Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan - “KKKHHHHHHAAAAAAAAANN!”
5. Acceptance
   Life goes on…I guess there are worse things in life.

Well in all truth that really didn’t happen, but thinking back on things it would have been kinda funny. Until then I’ll have to stick with the online reviews and posted videos.
