I never really got into this wonderful show until it was too late! Superb acting, witty writing, and a colourful cast for sure. Although the story takes place a little before my time, I can sure relate. I highly recommend this show to any child of the 80’s - great memories for sure.
In keeping with the Mad Men theme… Pick out a suit, light a cigarette, slick back your hair, and download the result as a Twitter icon or desktop wallpaper: Mad Men Yourself. Here’s what I would look like as a Sterling Cooper junior account executive. Illustrations by Dyna Moe, who worked her way into the […]
In keeping with the Mad Men theme, I came across a nice poster for the upcoming season… There’s our beloved, complicated Don, casually smoking a cigarette as the flood waters rise. My friend Jeff pointed me to this really sweet graphic novel for the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Check out how sweet the variant cover looks!
Excert from “No Country For Old Men” Anton Chigurh: What’s the most you ever lost on a coin toss? Gas Station Proprietor: Sir? Anton Chigurh: The most. You ever lost. On a coin toss. Gas Station Proprietor: I don’t know. I couldn’t say. [Chigurh flips a quarter from the change on the counter and covers it with […]
As a kid I would always love to read the Sunday paper to catch the comics. Forget the front page news, or even the sports pages. I’d always find myself going directly to the “funnies” and reading the classics like Dilbert, Peanuts and Garfield. Just the other day I came across this great blog - […]
